The European Metropolitan network Institute (EMI)
EMI´s goal is to strengthen the social and economic position of European urban areas by means of creating and disseminating innovative knowledge. EMI´s guiding principle is research based, practice led. EMI is your partner in bridging the gap between research and practice; scholars, practitioners, policy makers and other network institutes.
- EMI´s main activities are: research, dissemination & application of research and building knowledge networks.
- EMI´s umbrella themes: economy, social cohesion & capital,
sustainable development, mobility and polycentrism.
Nicis Institute and the City of The Hague have decided early 2010 to set up the European Metropolitan network Institute (EMI). EMI is partly financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
